Entrees
An entree is the main course of a meal, also known as the main dish. Entrees have been known to be many things prepared in may different ways. Your entree can be either hot or cold. An entree can also be a nice veggie, pork, chicken, fish, beef etc. Today we will be looking at two chicken dishes that are simple and definitely easy to make. Before we begin always remember to rinse raw meat that isn't ground. Now let's begin with the first recipe.
Garlic and Lemon Chicken
3 tablespoons butter
4 skinless, boneless chicken breast (better to cut breast in half)
2 teaspoons garlic powder (or chopped garlic w/butter if you cant find garlic powder)
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 Lemon, sliced
1. Rinse and cut chicken breast. Pat the breast dry. Sprinkle the breast with the powders and salts. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add the chicken and saute for about 11 to 15 minutes on each side. Chicken is done when juices run clear and it is cooked all the way through. Add a slice of lemon or two on each breast piece and ALL DONE ENJOY!
Spicy Lime Chicken
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/8 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 onion powder
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 teaspoon dried parsley
4 boneless, skinless chick breast halves
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 teaspoons garlic powder
3 tablespoons lemon juice
1. Combine the first 8 ingredients in a small bowl and then sprinkle the mixture over the chicken breast generously on both sides.
2. Heat butter and oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Saute chicken until golden brown about 6-8 minutes on each side. Sprinkle breast with the 2 teaspoons garlic powder and and the lime juice. Cook an additional 5-6 minutes stirring frequently.
